Roblox is trying to kill small developers at this point

Summary

The article criticizes Roblox's recent policy changes, including new publishing fees and a requirement for 500 unique 16+ users, which are seen as major barriers for small developers. These updates, combined with changes to gamepass functionality, are perceived as favoring large studios while stifling innovation and competition from new creators.

Honestly I think this is just another situation where Roblox has done something that the community has begged them to do, and then the community discovers that they don't actually like the change. I think the might reverse the gamepass part at some point but the rest is probably going to stay.

I feel like the idea is good but they made it in like one of the worst ways possible

yeah bro like wtf 1k robux for publishing a game, just straight up sell UGC items it costs 1k more but more profitable imo. Like what if no one even plays ur game? Minus 1k robux

The robux does come back after 3 months but only if your game doesn't get any moderation notes but i feel like 3 months is way too long

SOMETHING is bound to happen, even in one month, unless im misunderstanding how what reports effect games
